Systematic study of the Android platform in the conceptual framework of the 101companies project (2012)
Aksu, Hakan
In this thesis I explore the Android platform. I demonstrate three different implementations, covering features and technology of the 101companies project and I add new Android specific features into the project. The implementations show applications that can be used in the real world.
Path tracing via comparison of received signal strength within WiFi landscapes (2011)
Gauterin, Alvaro
This bachelor thesis deals with the comparison related to the similarity of recorded WiFi patterns during the tracing of a path through the streets of a large city. Both MAC address only comparison has been investigated as well as the incorporation of RSSI values, whereby the localization accuracy has been evaluated. Methods for the detection of different types and combinations of loops in the path are demonstrated likewise the attempt to estimate the degree of urban development in the environment of the user by assessing the received signal strength and signal-to-noise ratio of GPS satellites and GSM cell towers. In order to observe a user- proximity to a certain spot on a large public square the absorption of WiFi signals by the human body has been taken into account. Finally, the results of a comparison of the computing performance of a modern smartphone versus the alternative of remote calculation on a server including data transmission via cellular data network are presented.
Entwicklung eines Lernspiels/App für Grundschulkinder der 3.Klasse (2014)
Neuneier, Svenja
Development of a jump'n'run game with sensor control (2014)
Vorberger, Thomas
In this bachelor thesis, the question of whether or not a jump'n run game with sensor control for android devices is useful, is handled. To this end, a game was developed, which is once controlled with and without sensors at different levels. In a second version, the game is completely controlled by means of sensors, so that the controls can later be compared. It is explained how the game was planned, designed and investigated. In addition, it is checked whether games with sensor control already exist. The engine, which was used to developed the game, is also introduced. Finally, the evaluation is carried out for an elaborated user test on the playability of the game in terms of control.
